What do you do at Genflow?

‍I'm Commercial Project Manager; so I work across all activities (launches and delivery) happening on our creator brands, here at Genflow.

What were you doing prior to Genflow?

‍Prior to Genflow, I was working in fashion for almost 10 years. I worked in a similar role for a multi-brand vertical retailer in Australia - where my day-to-day was quite similar to what I am doing now. Initially, I actually studied Law and worked in firms for a couple of years before following more of a commercial career path in creative + brand environments.

Describe your role in 3 words?
Dynamic, central + holistic. And as a bonus, I really love it.

The highlight of your time at Genflow so far?
Working with the team to launch x2 new apps in back-to-back months! Among many other fairly big product launches at the end of July... and all fairly seamlessly.

Advice for someone who wants to work in your industry?
I was firmly focused on working for a tech start-up as my next career move. The industry is incredibly exciting, constantly evolving, and really integral in today's world. It is also very fast-paced and the fact that things never cease, and are operating around the clock makes the cadence something you need to be up for.

You should also be someone who wants to constantly evolve, in terms of product + process, and be comfortable with change + adaptability. It is also important to understand the terminology + process, and what developers are building - this is something I'm still learning the details of, and would definitely advise getting ahead of that if you aren't already familiar.

I follow some inspiring Aussie creators in fitness + fashion - Steph Claire Smith + Laura Henshaw - and I also love Mari Llewellyn from our Slay App.
