Meet The Team: Sam Clarke, Content Editor

What do you do at Genflow?
As a Content Editor, I am involved in producing content for all of our clients. Whether that be in videos, images, graphic design or an audio format. I also create content for Genflow’s social channels and assist in editing Genflow's Founder and CEO's YouTube series, WEEKFLOW!

I specialise in the 3D animation aspect of our post-production process so when we are demonstrating the functionality of apps within the videos we produce, I use 3D phones and other methods to dynamically show an audience the contents of the app.

What were you doing prior to Genflow?
I was working at a production agency based in London for two years as a videographer. The client list was really varied in a lot of different industries and my role allowed me to cover all areas of production; it really was a great experience in how to shoot and edit a wide variety of projects.

Describe your role in 3 words?
Go the extra mile.

The highlight of your time at Genflow so far?
We’re involved in so many launches, successes and milestones it’s hard to pick just one. But, I think the LEAN launch stands out for me as it was my first big launch after joining the company. I got some really lovely feedback on the work I’d done and it turned out to be the best performing launch the company had done to date!

Advice for someone starting new in the content creation space?
In the words of Shia LaBeouf, ‘JUST DO IT!’.

Get out there and get involved in as much content creation as you can. Make your own projects and get involved in other people’s and very soon you will have a plethora of knowledge about what works and what does not.

A fun trick I used to do was imagine a company had given me a brief for a video promoting a product. Write the pre-production, do the shoot and edit it to be something cool.

Your favourite creator (Instagram, YouTube or TikTok)?
I really enjoy watching David Dobrik’s vlog. I think his style is the original quick cut comedy vlog that a lot of people have tried to imitate but never quite to the same level. Plus, it’s very wholesome content watching people get given cars!
